Bring the family to Saturday Fun Run at Northwest College

POWELL, Wyo. - Northwest College invites the Powell community to start the school year off on a healthy note by participating in a Kick-Off Weekend Fun Run Saturday, Aug. 25.

The Fun Run starts at 8 a.m. in front of the DeWitt Student Center, offering three course options to choose from: a one-mile walk, one-mile run, or 5K go at your own pace.

Subway gift cards will be given to the first and second place finishers in both men’s and women’s categories.

“This is an event almost everyone in town can participate in,” said Bobbie Bell, who helped organize the Fun Run. “If you can walk around an average block five times, you can finish the one-mile walk. We’d love for school children, families and seniors to challenge each other to combine fun and fitness.”

Cost to enter is $10 (includes a T-shirt) or $5 (no T-shirt). Entry is free for participants age 17 and under and for NWC students.

To ensure the correct size T-shirt, register in advance at the NWC Business Office, Room 106C in the Orendorff Building.

Registrations will also be accepted from 7:30-8 a.m. the day of the event, but correct T-shirt sizes aren’t guaranteed.
