Chilean Independence Day celebrated Northwest style on Friday, Sept. 18

POWELL, Wyo. - Northwest College's Chilean students will host a Chilean Independence Day Celebration at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, in the Trapper Room of the DeWitt Student Center.

The event will include a presentation on Chilean culture, plus games, music, dancing, displays and food sampling.

The students who planned and will host the celebration are Carolina Parra Vera, and her 4-year old daughter, Luciana, Sara Munoz Canobra, Begonia Vega Jorquera, Valeria Alejandra Nunez and Maria Fernanda Segovia.

The public is invited to join the festivities sponsored by the NWC Multicultural Events Committee and the NWC Spanish Club.

Admission is free.
