The Northwest College Trappers went toe-to-toe for more than a half with No. 18 North Platte at the Region IX basketball tournament on Sunday, but fell 82-71 to bow out of the post-season. The Trappers advanced to the round of eight with an 85-74 win over Gillette on Saturday.

The Northwest College women's basketball team was ousted from Region IX tournament play 76-69 by Northeast Nebraska in Sterling, Colo., on Saturday. The loss wraps up the Trappers' season at 11-19.

POWELL, Wyo. - "The Northwest College reaccreditation effort is on track and looking good," Duane Fish, chair of the NWC Accreditation Committee, announced this week.

For the Northwest College women, the injury prognosis is better, but the challenge may be larger as first-year head coach Janis Beal steers the 11-18 Trapper women against Northeast Nebraska.
