  • Music

The soul of music slumbers in the shell Till waked and kindled by the master’s spell... - Samuel Rogers (1763-1855)

Did you know, out of over 11,000 community colleges in the Nation, only 25 of them are musically accredited and Northwest College is one of those twenty five? Our music program is very high quality and the students know they can transfer to four year Universities with a high degree of learning. To accompany our advanced Music department, the Hinckley Library also has a wide variety of musical subjects. From printed music, scores, and CD’s to many histories, theories, and biographies. Come over and check out all we have to offer!

Wyoming Places

Logo of Wyoming Places.org The purpose of Wyoming Places is to give the user information about the origin of the name of a place, a brief history of that place and stories about it. Wyoming Places is an ongoing project to create an online resource about the place names of Wyoming. It began as an idea of the reference librarians at Wyoming State Library who received many questions about the origin of Wyoming place names. Librarians from the University of Wyoming have assisted and we have used resources from collections throughout Wyoming and the rest of the U.S.

"Books, like proverbs, receive their chief value from the stamp and esteem of ages through which they have passed." Sir William Temple(1628-1699)
